Ms. Jaime Goodman

Ms. Jaime Goodman

Ms. Goodman teaches 3rd grade at Dennis. She also coaches soccer and is a CONTIG math club sponsor. Additionally, for the past four summers, Ms. Goodman has been a Lead Facilitator in the summer learning programs offered through the district through both Camp Connections, as well as SMASH Camp. She graduated from Illinois State University in 2004 with a Bachelors in Education. Ms. Goodman taught junior high ELA for seven years, followed by two years teaching a pre-K  2-3 year old parochial school program. For the past five years, Ms. Goodman has been teaching third grade at Dennis.

Ms. Goodman’s class is rooted in guided instructional practices for both reading and math. Additionally, Ms. Goodman has strong relationships with Millikin University, hosting Teacher Candidates and Student Teachers, as well freshmen students who wish to pursue teaching.

Ms. Goodman has a son Chase, who she followed to Dennis (as he was attending Pre-K in the building before she joined him there his Kindergarten year). The two enjoy traveling together, with a goal of seeing all 50 states before Chase begins college. They have also enjoyed the outdoors together and recently participated in their first triathlon together. Ms. Goodman loves to read and enjoys baking.
