• I am originally from Decatur, and a graduate of Decatur Public Schools District #61.  I attended Enterprise Grade School, and Roosevelt Junior High School.  I graduated from MacArthur High School, class of 1995.  I am very proud to be a teacher in the building I graduated from.  While attending MacArthur, I played football for 2 years, and wrestled for 4.  After attending MacArthur High School, I graduated from SIU-Carbondale in the fall of 2002 with a Bachelor's in History, and a minor in Political Science.

I taught for 1 year at Cape Girardeau Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where I also coached high school wrestling.  After that year in Missouri, I came back home and taught at Robertson Charter School for 10 years.  While at Robertson I taught numerous subjects including History, Science, Keyboarding, and Speech.  I also started the wrestling program at RCS, and coached there for 5 years. Currently I am the assistant coach for Boys Soccer, and I am the head coach for Girls Soccer.

When given the opportunity to come to MacArthur, I jumped feet first into it.  I currently teach Civics, and AP Government & Politics (with a little World History sprinkled in occasionally).  I have a passion for teaching the youths of our city, and hope to make a difference with our kids for years to come.
