As part of the district's BOLD plan, Dennis Lab School became a Dual Campus during the 2020-2021 school year. The two campuses will be the current Dennis Lab building and the French Academy building. The campus at 1499 W. Main is now called the Mosaic Campus in honor of the large mosaic monarch butterfly that adorns the south side of the building. The old French Academy building at 520 W. Wood Street will now be called the Kaleidoscope Campus. Kaleidoscope was choosen because a group of butterflies is refered to as a kaleidoscope. Grades 2,3,6,7 and 8th are housed at the Mosaic Campus and grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1, 4, and 5 are at the Kaleidoscope Campus. Much thought and consideration went into the decision on where each grade would make a permanent home. At Dennis Lab School we value mentorship and this configuration allows our older students to mentor our younger students. We also want all of our students to feel that they are DENNIS. At no point do we ever want to be viewed as two different schools. Together we are better!
