      Baum Elementary has 3 events that they need volunteers for:

       

      • Fall Festival / Haunted House
        • October 29 (Thursday)
        • 5:15 – 7:15 pm
        • 10 students
      • Book Fair / Dinner Night
        • November 2 (Monday)
        • 5:30 – 7:30
        • 4 students
      • Holiday Bazaar
        • December 5 (Saturday)
        • 9:00 – 1:00 (can work in shifts of 2 hours)
        • 6 students

    • Decatur Memorial Hospital Junior Volunteer Program
    • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week from 4:00 – 7:00 pm
    • Responsibilities may include:
      • Delivery of flowers, emails and cards to patients
      • Passing fresh water to patients
      • Working at front desk greeting visitors
      • Working in medical records
      • DMH Café passing food trays to patients
      • Working in emergency room greeting patients
      • Transporting patients to their rooms
    • Applications are available at DMH in the Volunteer Office, or call Donna Reinhardt at 876-2811

    • Decatur Area Arts Council (DAAC)
    • The DAAC is looking for responsible high school students needing service learning hours to help volunteer during various classes and events that are being held in the fall/winter of 2015.
    • Listed below are the various ones we have available. All events are at the Madden Arts Center at 125 N Water downtown across the street from Busey Bank. The volunteer coordinator is Cathy Briggs (cathy@decaturarts.org, 423-3189) and the day of contact is Jenny Cowgill (jenny@decaturarts.org, 423-3189)
    • After School Art Class Series- Tuesdays September 15th-Dec 1st 4-5:30pm
    • 2-3 Volunteers needed, prefer to be the same volunteers every time
    • Tasks include: Assisting teacher in handing out supplies, set up and clean up, assisting kids in attendance with drawing activities
    • Half Day Art Camp- Wednesdays Sep. 9,23 Oct 7, 21 Nov. 4, 18 1:30-4:00pm
    • 3-4 Volunteers needed, prefer to have the same ones every time
    • Tasks include: Assisting teacher in set-up and clean up, handing out supplies, assisting children with art activities and other tasks as assigned
    • Harry Potter Pizza and Potions Party Oct 16th 5:30-9
    • 5-10 Volunteers needed depending on attendance
    • Tasks include: Assisting teacher in set-up and clean-up of event, helping kids with various themed activities, assiting in art projects, running various game stations for kids in attendance
