Degrees and Certifications:
I graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 1992. After graduation, I moved to Gallup, New Mexico to teach 4th grade on a Navajo Indian Reservation, where I resided for 5 years. Then we decided to move to the magnificent state of Illinois, where I became a first-grade teacher and then a preschool teacher. In 2006, I joined the Muffley family as a 2nd grade teacher. Every grade I taught has been my favorite at the time. So, of course, 2nd grade is my current favorite grade. In 2008, I decided to further my education and attend the University of Illinois for my MS degree in Math and Science curriculum. My goal in 2nd grade is to help my students become lifelong learners with a passion for more knowledge and have the confidence to believe they can reach for the stars. In my free time I enjoy reading, camping, going to church, and, of course, spending time with my wonderful husband, our five children, and two grandchildren.
