I have been an Early Childhood Special Education teacher for the Decatur Public Schools for 23 years. I currently teach a Blended Pre-K Program. I received my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and my Masters Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University. I remember back in junior high writing a paper about "What I Want To Be When I Grow Up." I always dreamed of becoming a Special Education Teacher. I have a huge interest in the field of Autism. One of the highlights of my teaching career was winning the "Award of Excellence" in spring, 2008. I was nominated by a parent and I will always be grateful for that!
I met my husband in Clinton during my student teaching experience. We live in Clinton and have been married for 23 years! I have one dog and two cats. I love to read, travel, garden, go to the movies, attend sporting events and spend time with my family and pets when I am away from school.
