I hold a Learning Behavior Specialist Certificate and a General Administration Certificate with an endorsement in Special Education Director
Life Skills, Room 19
Welcome to my webpage! I am a kindergarten through second grade Life Skills Teacher in classroom 19. This Life Skills program focuses on pre-academic and basic academic skills. In addition to self-care and functional skills, we also do some vocational activities, such as preparing and delivering popcorn.
I started teaching in a Resource Special Education classroom for kindergarten through second grade students in Wisconsin in 2000 and moved to Chatham, Illinois in 2002. I was a teacher of students with Autism at the middle school in Chatham. I went to the Illinois State Board of Education in 2007 and worked as a Principal Consultant in the Special Education Division for nearly nine years. I started working for the Decatur Public Schools in December 2015 in room 19.
