Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Thomas Beller

I grew up in the south Chicago suburbs.  I'm a lifelong Cubs, Bears, and Blackhawks fan.  My passion for sports compelled to me to pursue a career in physical education.  Before I graduated, my focus changed, and my career interests led to business management.

After many years, I decided once again to pursue a degree in teaching, and in 2011, I received my elementary education certification from Millikin University.  My first teaching job was at Hope Academy in middle school science.  I also spent time teaching sixth grade at Oak Grove Elementary.  In 2016, I began teaching middle school science again, this time at Stephen Decatur.  I was also able to begin coaching again in 2014 for the Eisenhower Panthers.  I coached girls softball and football, but am currently content with coaching football only.

When I'm not at school or on the football field, I'm with my family.  My wife is a teacher at Stephen Decatur, also.  Together, we have five children:  Calleigh, Katie, Hayden, Ally and Jack.  Between their school and extra-curricular events, and our own, we are a pretty busy family.
