Mr. Nathan Bohannon
Nathan Bohannon graduated from Millikin University with a B.A. Secondary English Education degree and a minor in Theatre. At Eisenhower High School Mr. Bohannon teaches Freshmen Seminar, and Freshmen and Sophomore level English. Additionally, the 2017 - 2018 school year will be his third year serving as the musical director for Eisenhower High School (Musical Webpage).
Before teaching at Eisenhower, Mr. Bohannon taught at Central A&M Middle School were he was the 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teacher for three years. While teaching at CAM he served as the Literary/Speech Team coach, worked towards the successful incorporation of technology into his classroom, and began a month long initiative to bring awareness to local homeless shelters (Socktober). Moving to EHS was a move that he had been looking to do for several years.
Beyond teaching, Mr. Bohannon tries to stay active within the school community by attending school events, community events, and local art programs. Mr. Bohannon also is an avid reader and writer.
Outside of school, Mr. Bohannon and his wife (who teaches music and band at Thomas Jefferson Middle School) support the local art programs, involve themselves with the Eisenhower High School Marching Panthers, and enjoy their time with their two cats and taking in all that Decatur has to offer.
