Degrees and Certifications:
Hello! My name is Angelina Adams and I am a 6th grade teacher. This will be my first year teaching at Muffley! I attended Mt. Zion schools until graduation in 2013. I graduated from Eastern Illinois University in May of 2017 with a bachelor's in elementary education. While at Eastern, I tuaght 5th grade at Kansas, 3rd grade at Atwood-Hammond, and 2nd grade at Parsons. Decatur public schools had a welcoming community that made me want to stay and teach my own class. Teaching gives me the privilege to show children the opportunities they have in the world and they can teach me new things along the way. Relating any lesson to real life situations will give them the drive to learn and apply their skills in different situations. My goal is to guide students to learn about themselves, how to be an outstanding citizen, and important academics.
My highschool sweatheart and I just bought our first home in Mt. Zion. It is a complete remodel, so I can always find something to do in my free time! I have two older brothers that are both married with children which I can spoil! A little about my personality is that I love anything Disney. Dr. Seuss is one of my favorite authors becuase of the lessons that lie within the stories. Around my classroom, you will most likely find references to Disney and Dr. Seuss.
I am excited to begin teaching at Muffley and I hope to have a great year! Thank you for reading my bio!
