When students return in person on March 22, DPS is working with community partners to ensure students get the social-emotional supports they need.
- Heritage Behavioral Health will provide in-person supports at MacArthur and Eisenhower High Schools starting March 22. Heritage staff will be available at both Eisenhower and MacArthur from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, as well as 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on those days at Eisenhower. Students will be encouraged to connect with Heritage staff if they have any mental health concerns or other stressors that they would like to talk about.
- Crossing Healthcare's mobile health clinic will rotate between Hope Academy and Stephen Decatur Middle School while students are in person on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays to offer counseling services to students as well. Students at other locations will also be able to access these services.
In-person appointments are still available at all DPS schools for students with IEPs, English learners, and students who specifically request in-person assistance and/or tutoring from their teachers.
Please call your student's school directly to schedule an appointment for your student.
There are also a variety of community organizations your student can get involved in to stay active. Many are offering virtual events, follow the links below to get more info!
