• The Newest School in Decatur
Hope Academy was built in 2005 in the Wabash Crossing redevelopment area and was a collaboration with the City of Decatur.  The school is located where Phoenix Park was and every effort was made to retain most of the park amenities.  Hope's location is idea because it is near community agencies like the Boys & Girls Club.   Hope Academy is an attractive, state-of-the-art Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade facility.
The school, decorated in colors designed to blend in with the environment, houses 500 students.  It is built with "front" views on either side.
Students living in the Wabash Crossing area may apply receiving top priority, and any other students in the district may apply through magnet applications.
