Franklin Grove Elementary is committed to preparing all students to achieve academic excellence by teaching honesty, kindness, respect, and responsibility.  We aim to empower our students to become lifelong learners who positively impact their families and communities in a culturally diverse world.

Located in the far northwest corner of Decatur, Franklin Grove has a beautiful campus. The original Ben Franklin Elementary opened in 1967. Franklin then merged with Oak Grove Elementary at the start of the 2021-22 school year. Our colors are blue and white and our mascot is the Tornado.

You will find Franklin Grove to have a warm, friendly atmosphere where families and visitors are always welcome. We invite you to visit our school — parents and visitors are always welcome to share in the educational process!
