Mr. Cordell Ingram
Dear MacArthur High School Families,
Welcome to MacArthur High School! Our teachers bring excitement, knowledge, and experiences to the classroom that prepare our young men and women for the challenges of college and the world beyond. As an administrator of MacArthur, I am looking forward to working with you and your family by providing leadership that will continue to build upon your current successes while looking towards a future of continued growth in excellence.
We are committed to the development of the whole child – their intellect, social, emotional and physical development. We know that this multiple focus helps to prepare students that are well prepared for the academic challenges of high school. Most importantly, the experiences of service and specifically, Service Learning, help our students develop an appreciation for the value of others. Personal and academic growth as well as building skills in self advocacy during the high school years prepares your student for high school and beyond. Our learning approach is to offer a balanced instructional program in a team setting that emphasizes academic integrity while making an emotional connection with the students as they continue to develop social skills. In order to succeed, students, staff, parents and families must work together! We are committed to supporting the whole child and invite you to join in this effort to ensure innovation, creative thinking, intellectual curiosity, academic excellence, thoughtful change, and good citizenship.
The assistant principals, faculty, staff and I are all looking forward to getting to know and work with all of you to ensure that each and every student in the school is successful this year academically and socially. Success is a team effort and every player (student, teacher, staff, parent and family) is an integral part of that team. When every player does his or her best everyone wins!
We are glad you and your student have chosen to become and/or remain members of the MacArthur High School community and look forward to a wonderful year.
Respectfully,
Mr. Cordell Ingram
