In Reading, we are practicing blending together sounds and reading words. Our sight words this week were BIG, LITTLE, and JUST. Next week, our sight words will be WAS, MAKE, and YOUR. In Math, we will finish chapter 11 and begin Chapter 12, which is on 3D shapes. We will continue Titanic this week in Social Studies. In Science, we will finish our animal books and start studying insects. We will also talk about Earth Day.
It is Spring time! Kindergarten has lots of fun plans for Spring and we could use the following items – bubble soap, sidewalk chalk, and double AA batteries (for our bubble machines.) Kindergarten is also running low on hand sanitizer and paper towels. If you could send in some, that would be amazing.
Please, only water in water bottles for lunch. We have had coffee and juice spilled everywhere – floors, backpacks, shoes, coats, lunchboxes – water is much easier to clean up.
If your child is not feeling well or sick, please keep them home from school. We want the children to come to school but it is very tough to learn when you feel yucky.
